Vintage Japanese White Speckle Crumb Beads

Sometimes called Crumb beads these pretty baubles are made by dipping the beads in trays of leftover colored glass from the other beads made that day. Sometimes you’ll also hear them called end of day bedas because of this.

These particular beads are opaque white with speckles of red, orange, yellow & brown in patches on the sides.

The larger packages have two shades of white as a base bead.

Based on similar beads we’ve had before we believe these were made in Japan Mid Century.
